A result is only preliminary until the full journey is checked

Distance, final-arrival delay, cancellation notice, route coverage, operating carrier and extraordinary circumstances can change the outcome.

Build the file

Prepare these details before starting a claim

1Booking

Reservation code, passenger names and complete itinerary.

2Flight evidence

Flight number, date, boarding pass and operating carrier.

3Timing

Scheduled and actual arrival at the final destination.

4Airline explanation

Emails, app messages and the reason given for disruption.

5Expenses

Itemised receipts for reasonable care costs not provided.

How the process works

From quick check to documented request

01

Screen the journey

Identify the regime, route and type of disruption.

02

Estimate the band

Match distance and timing without treating the result as guaranteed.

03

Compile evidence

Keep one complete file rather than scattered screenshots.

04

Choose the route

Continue to the approved partner or submit directly to the airline.

Before submitting

Common reasons a claim needs a closer review

  • The route falls outside the relevant regime
  • The arrival impact is below the compensation threshold
  • The airline relies on extraordinary circumstances
  • The connection was not on one protected booking
  • Cancellation notice and replacement timing change the result
Do not submit a generic story.

Use exact times, the complete route, the operating carrier and the airline's stated reason. Separate compensation from expenses and refund requests.

Quick answers

Questions before you begin

Is compensation automatic?

No. The journey must be assessed and a request normally has to be submitted.

Is the amount linked to ticket price?

No. Fixed bands are mainly based on distance and, in some UK long-haul cases, the length of arrival delay.

Do expenses use the same rules?

No. Reasonable care expenses, reimbursement and fixed compensation should be documented and claimed separately.

Does this checker send my documents?

The final approved-partner step follows that partner’s own privacy process.
